We love local & sustainable eating in NYC! Go check out "Eating Locally, Thinking Globally" this Sunday and learn all about the slow food movement. Nosh on veg-friendly snacks, sip some vino and learn how to help our little planet. Nothin' wrong with that! Whether you're in a big city or quiet town, supporting locally-sourced food is always in style.

This looks pretty interesting and worthwhile. I agree, more people should buy from local farms (especially with all NYC's farmer's markets!!) Thanks for sharing! Gonna look into it with the hubster.

in the bay area I always go to farmers makrets to pick up veggies for the week. I get my meat locally as well :) Wish I could see this seminar, it sounds really good. Love your site, btw

Thanks, Savvy. I love it when restaurants make note of their locally grown ingredients. Food stores, too.

See, this is why NYC is so freaking cool. It always has such events going on. I would live there if not for the frigid weather.
